ABOUT US

Shanae & Todd

Business Partners

Shanae and Todd’s journey into the dog industry began with their own puppy Cavoodle, whose behavioural challenges sparked their passion for dog behaviour and highlighted the importance of positive, purposeful socialisation – especially during the critical socialisation period.

From there, they began breeding Dalmatians, raising their first litter with the Puppy Culture program. They set their litter up for success prenatally, through Early Neurological Stimulation at three days old, and with age-appropriate socialisation from day 17. Watching their puppies grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs deepened their knowledge and love for positive, purposeful socialisation.

After the puppies moved to their new homes, Shanae and Todd returned to their day jobs but sought a consistent, enriching socialisation outlet for their own dogs. Realising Mount Gambier lacked a dog daycare, they dedicated themselves to thorough research and careful planning before creating what is now The Doggy Den—a space designed to give every dog the opportunity for positive, purposeful, and fulfilling days.
